  • 1952 The First Exhibition At Chelsea Town Hall 1952 The company was founded by Ronald Phillips in 1952. A period when war time austerity was coming to an end and a demand for antiques grew steadily. It was the Chelsea Antiques fair at Chelsea town hall that Ronald Phillips had his first antiques show. The tradition of exhibiting at antiques shows carries on today.
  • Antique Furniture Traded In The Early Years The first showrooms in Old Brompton Road were opened later that year. The company retained the same showrooms until 1974 when Ronald Phillips Ltd moved to larger more prominent premises in Bruton Street in London’s illustrious Mayfair.
