A fine and rare pair of late 18th century Adam period carved giltwood wall lights, each having a central tablet with lion mask and paterae decoration issuing a scrolled acanthus leaf carved candle arm on each side with brass drip pans and reeded nozzles; having a half sunflower pendent apron leaf swags below and acanthus pendant finial, and a detached cresting of carved acanthus leaf stem with domed canopy with ribbon tied tassels and floral spray cresting.
