A highly important late 18th century Adam period carved giltwood frame with a Chinese export mirror painting depicting a shepherdess by a tree with a falconer behind her, within a river landscape. The associated giltwood frame with a moulded surround, finely decorated with scrolling leaf work, anthemion, husks and floral paterae and surmounted by an owl on an open book and a lyre within the conforming apron.
