An extremely fine quality and rare pair of mid 18th century ormolu mounted white marble ‘lyre essence vases’ by Matthew Boulton.  The pierced lids above ormolu mounted vases with laurel swags between the lyres and rams’ heads.  The circular white marble pedestals with four bucrania with drapery; standing on two circular stepped guilloche mounted white marble bases.
