The cabinet and stand have been preserved in virtually untouched condition.
The interior is fitted with a bank of eleven drawers. 
Cream and white are the rarest japanning colours to be found, and only a very small number of workshops managed to produce pieces in these hues. The patterns for the decoration were often traced from Chinese or Japanese import china of the period.
