Designs for similar torchères were published in December 1804 by John Taylor, a printer and seller of designs, and later in Smith’s own book, A Collection of Designs for Household Furniture and Interior Decoration.
Note: The torchères retain the original gilding and most of the dark green paint surface with some refreshments.
