A pair of George II giltwood mirrors.
Note: Both mirrors have replaced old mercury silvered and bevelled mirror plates. The candle arms and sockets are of later date, and the gilding has been refreshed.
This pair of mirrors will feature in the forthcoming book on the Percival D. Griffiths collection instigated by the late John Bryan, Chicago, USA and, authored by Christian Jussel and William DeGregorio, published by Yale University Press. It will be available in the late Spring of 2022.
