A drawing for a side table with many shared features was published by Matthias Lock in Six Tables in 1746. The veneered jasper top is of exceptionally high quality and an 18th century replacement.  A centre table with identical carved detail but slightly greater in depth was photographed by Country Life at Hamilton Palace, Scotland prior to the house's demolition in the late 19th century.
