An important and most unusual mid 18th century carved gesso and giltwood wall light in the manner of John Linnell, the extravagant ribbon tied cresting suspending a husk draped classical vase issuing carved lilies above a pair of carved giltwood doves framed by sprays of bay leaves and supported on a plinth of cross palm fronds and leaf tied reeds hung with beaded and drapery swags centred by acanthus leaves issuing three foliate and lily carved candle arms each with a single brass nozzle and drip pan, the central lower stem carved as naturalistic stave and entwined with foliate carved hops.
