A mid 18th century late Chippendale period mahogany bookcase of impressive and unusually tall proportions, the dentil cornice surmounted by an architectural tablet pediment carved with an urn and swags surmounted by carved urns and flanked by conforming urns to the corners, above two astragal glazed doors lined with pleated green silk and enclosing adjustable shelves, the base with two short drawers with original gilt brass swan-neck handles above twin brushing slides and two hinged panelled doors, raised on shallow bracket feet.
