The cabinet has shaped central cupboard doors enclosing six short and two long drawers, flanked by doors enclosing five drawers to one side, and the other side enclosing three drawers...The cabinet has shaped central cupboard doors enclosing six short and two long drawers, flanked by doors enclosing five drawers to one side, and the other side enclosing three drawers over a deep cellarette (of later date), all with original swan-neck handles (except the cellarette drawer). The top having a moulded brass band to the shaped edge, and the sides having oval moulding enclosing panels of flame cut veneer.
The colour and patination of this cabinet are outstanding and the carving throughout of the highest quality, in particular the unusual escutcheons to the central doors.Provenance
