Mirrors

Ronald Phillips Ltd is famed for its knowledge and expertise in the field of antique mirrors produced between 1680 – 1820 having held two large selling exhibitions over the last eight years displaying a range of the most unusual, highest quality and best preserved examples of the 18th century. Early mirror production was hugely expensive and only the wealthiest and most important people owned them. Ronald Phillips Ltd has an extensive collection of over 70 antique giltwood, scagliola, silvered, needlepoint, walnut, lacquered and Japanned antique mirrors, pier glasses, overmantel mirrors and girandoles, the earliest dating from the reign of Charles II through to George IV, the Prince Regent. Each antique mirror has been chosen for its originality, especially of the plate glass, its form and its overall historical importance. Whether it is an individual antique mirror, a pair of antique walnut George I mirrors or perhaps an 18th century Irish mirror chandelier that you wish to find, Ronald Phillips has an extensive stock to suit all means.
