Ronald Philllips is unique and fortunate for having a restoration workshop on site at their premises in Mayfair. The team of restorers is trained in traditional cabinet making and finishing. Their hands-on expertise adds to the wealth of knowledge at Ronald Phillips.
John Russell joined the company in 1975 and heads the restoration workshop. Thomas Lange joined the company in 1996. He is now responsible to oversee projects of specialist restorers outside the workshop realm. Guy Haste joined the company in 1999. Franciszek de Sage joined Ronald Phillips in 2014.
Every piece of furniture in the care of the restoration workshop undergoes thorough assessment and every piece is recorded. The company ethos for authenticity, quality, colour and condition is paramount in the workshop practice.
In 2005 Ronald Phillips appointed Steven Hoar and opened an upholstery workshop at their Mayfair premises. Steven works in traditional methods ensuring that the authenticity of the finished piece of furniture is guaranteed.
He is also responsible to oversee the restoration of antique coverings such as needlework and tapestry materials. Ronald Phillips takes great pride in advising clients on after care of their antiques and we are always happy to answer any question in relation to the care of antiques.
