Note: The needlework is original to the chairs.
Two chairs of the same design and possibly from the same set were formerly on loan to Mompesson House in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. A set of six chairs also with their original needlework was exhibited by Phillips of Hitchin at the Grosvenor House Antique Dealers’ Fair in 1962, and a matching single chair is in a private collection in Canada.
